February Favourites

It's really scaring me how fast this year is already going, I feel like January and February have literally flown by and it's soon to by March...spring is so soon!? How?!

Anyway, of course today I'll be sharing with you my February Favourites! There's quite a collection of beauty, accessories and random favourites so I hope you enjoy :)

Beauty

1)Barry M Nail Varnishes - These two BarryM nail varnishes are in Rose Hip and Mushroom, they are amazing, I love the colours so much. I'm a massive fan of BarryM and these didn't let me down. Rose Hip is such a subtle, baby pink colour - so appropriate for going into spring and Mushroom is a light brown but looks nude so it's not too overpowering. The coverage is good and it lasts for a long time if a overcoat is applied.

2)Seventeen Stay Time 25 Hour Foundation - I'd never really picked up any seventeen products, I never really notice it's there! However, I saw someone mention on Instagram how amazing this foundation so, being nosey, I had to go try it out. It was only around £6 which is a complete bargain for an amazing foundation. The coverage is full however it doesn't feel too caky like some can and it does stay on a long duration. My only downside is that it does show up dry patches quite easily, this isn't really a problem for me as my skin is normally normal/oily so if you do have quite dry skin then maybe this foundation isn't the one for you...but if you don't then I'd seriously recommend it!

3)Archery Eyebrow Pencil and Tint - I wrote a blog post about this product which you can see.. so I'm not going to talk huge amounts why I've been loving it, but briefly, it's a really easy product to use and the colour is a perfect match as well so my eyebrows looks natural but fuller as well.
4)Benefit Posie Tint - I found this in my makeup drawer and it had been used since last summer, so I'd thought I'd give this liquid blush another go. It's very easy to apply and, being quite pale, it's a really nice subtle pinky blush which adds the right amount of colour to my cheeks. I've been loving this blush, I think liquid blushes are becoming my new favourite over power blushes!

Accessories

1)American Apparel Hair Bows - Hair bows are such easy and cute ways to instantly make a hairstyle more interesting. I wear my hair in half up half down hairstyles a lot, and by adding these 2 bows from American Apparel, it makes my hair look that little bit more pretty. I can definitely see myself getting tons more for spring and summer.

2)Bracelet - I got this bracelet for Christmas and only found it in my jewellery box. I don't really wear bracelets however this one is so lovely and simple but so elegant that I've just had it on so much. It can instantly glam up any dull-looking outfit and because the colours are very spring-like, it'll be a lovely piece of jewellery to wear when all the spring colours comes out!

Ted Baker 'Body Smells'

Not only does Ted Baker do amazing clothes, but they also do amazing body stuff...who knew!? The smell of both the body spray and body wash is amazing - not so overpowering but still nice enough to really notice it. The body spray is very light, not sticky like perfume can feel and the body wash is a really nice consistency and foams up nicely to leave an amazing smell after getting out the shower.

 Random
1)Pretty Little Liars - I've been obsessing over this TV series and I think it's been quite the trend on twitter this month. I'm only on season 3 but so far so good! I seriously need to catch up before the last season is aired though!

2) Pinterest - I think most bloggers are aware of this app, but if you don't know then this app is basically (I'd say) a mix between tumblr and Instagram. You can have various different boards on your profile where you can collect pictures of the topic of the board. For example I have a fashion board, so I put different pictures of fashion trends that I like. It's such a fun app and if you're looking for any sort of inspiration then I'd definitely recommend it.

3)Katy Perry Deluxe Album - I forgot how amazing Katy Perry was until hearing her new album 'Deluxe' and it's been pretty much all I've been listening to throughout February. Her songs are just so feel-good and 'girly', not something that I'd normally listen to but I love it!

A Saturday Morning

Trust me, I love a good lie in, especially on a weekend, but sometimes I do want to be an early bird and today, an early bird was who I was.

In this little post, I want share with you my morning. It wasn't hugely exciting, but sometimes it's quite refreshing to just have one of those relaxing mornings with no need to rush around.

Bill's is one of my favourite restaurants ever. The food is incredible, the service is quick and friendly and the environment is very chilled and welcoming. Although I've never tried the evening menu, the breakfast, lunch and afternoon is amazing...I realised today that I maybe go way too often when my phone automatically connected to their wifi! How embarrassing. BUT at least it's a good restaurant?!

I'm very fussy and boring when it comes to food, so today I stuck with my pancakes and freshly squeezed orange juice (although the veggie breakfast my friend had looked so nice so maybe I'll try that one next time). Normally, I hate fresh juice orange juice as I don't like finding big lumps of orange in my juice but luckily the juice here has very subtle bits of orange that can hardly be 'felt'. The pancakes are just excellent, even looking at the picture makes me crave them again...

After a lovely breakfast, my friend and I wandered round the shops to walk off our food babies. I needed to pick up a few essential bits like another Rimmel London Stay Matte power, the Micellar Cleansing Water and gum (of course). When we walked into Lush I couldn't resist picking up a few of the valentines bath bombs before they stopped selling them. Sadly, there wasn't a huge amount of stock left (maybe going after valentines day wasn't the best idea) but I still was able to pick up Unicorn Horn which is actually the bomb I went in to buy and also Sex Bomb. They're both quite florally, sweet scents which I love and can't wait to try out.

As you can see from the picture, I picked up a pack of different sized earrings from H&M. I haven't worn earrings in what seems like forever (you can imagine how much it hurt when I re-pierced my ears) but I am loving the big dangly gem earrings at the moment - they're so pretty and elegant, so, I wanted to find a nice, simple pair of earrings to wear to get use to earrings before I go all out and spend a lot of money. These were only £1.99 so if I do decide that I hate wearing earrings for sure, then it's not like I've wasted so much money.

I hope you enjoyed this little post, I certainly enjoyed my morning.

Have a lovely rest of the weekend!

You're Glowing!

Highlighting is most definitely my favourite part of my make up routine - I love how it can instantly transform the appearance of your skin making it look glowing and youthful.

I like to vary the products that I use, including 3 different highlighters that I have fallen in love with, so, today I'm going to share with you my favourite highlights.

1) MAC Soft and Gentle
This is such a classic and I've talked about it before in my LINK. I love everything about this highlighter - the simple and easy packaging, the different pinky specs included and the outcome of it on the skin. It is a powder, however it does not look powdery on the skin, in the slightest. It gives off such a lovely dewy (not too dewy though) look and makes it look incredibly natural. Very sadly, I've hit pan at the centre (of course I'll buy a new one)! But it has served me extremely well over the last year and a bit, it's for sure my favourite highlighter out of the 3.

2) Benefit High Gleam
I got on very well with this highlighter (until I purchased the above!!) but every time odd time I use it, it reminds how much of a brilliant product it truly is. Although this is just a tester and I don't use it everyday, it has lasted a very long time and when it does run out I will definitely be buying the full sized pot. As you can see, it is a liquid highlighter. I was very sceptical about using any liquid products for things like contouring, blush or highlighting etc however this product has changed my mind. It is so easy to blend and doesn't smudge any of the base make up products. This highlighter gives off the best dewy look I think, as it sinks into the rest of your base makeup therefore making it seem very natural - like it's always been there.

3) Soap and Glory
This was the first highlighter I ever used and as you can tell, it's been very well loved. (The reason why it's not in it's original packaging is because I got it in a palette with other things). Out of all 3, this highlighter is definitely the pinkiest (is that even a word?!) one as I think the colour is quite pigmented and is very blush like. Regardless, it's an extremely pretty highlighter which I shall be using for a long time.

They were my favourite highlighters, what're yours?

Liebster Award No.2

A couple of days ago I got nominated to do the Liebster Award (for the second time!). I'm very thankful that Sam nominated, it really does mean a lot so thank you so much!

Here are the rules:

1) Thank the person who nominated you
2) Answer the questions from the nominator
3) Nominate other bloggers with less than 200 followers
4) Create 11 new questions for the nominees to answer
5) Notify nominees through social media/blogs

Onto the questions....

1) Do you have a favourite quote? What is it?
I have two quotes that I L O V E: 'If you're sad, add more lipstick and attack'
'If you have good thoughts, they will shine out of your                                                                         face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely'

2)What is your favourite social media? Why?
Instagram! I love seeing what people are doing/thinking/seeing through pictures. I'm very addicted to instagram...quite unhealthy if I'm honest!

3)If you were given £100 to spend on anything you wanted, what would you spend it on?
I think I would get myself new highstreet makeup. I'm desperate to get my hands on the NARS Sheerglow foundation and the Zoeva Vegan brush set so I think I'd definitely get those two things and then maybe some bits from MAC and NARS.

4)What is your favourite genre (book or film)?
Hmm....a mixure between comedy and romance. I am a sucker for a romcom!

5)If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Amsterdam. I went once and instantly fell in love with everything, it's such a beautiful and rich in culture city. I love it there. Although, I'm not great at speaking dutch so that would let me down....

6)What was your favourite subject in school (if you had one)?
I'm studying 4 subjects at the moment, the joys of A Levels, so I could answer this in two ways. My favourite subject at the moment is psychology - it's so fascinating and interesting. My favourite subject lower down the school was either drama or music.

7)If your house is on fire and only material items were inside, what 5 things would you save?
This is so tricky but I would save:
1) Year 11 prom dress
2) Roberts Radio (does that count?!)
And I think I'd just save as much textbooks/folders from school...so boring but I can't imagine losing all that work before my exams!

8)What is one thing that not many people know about you?
I have a disney figurine collection. I get one little figurine every Christmas and Birthday and have been since 2012. Maybe I'll do a blog post about it one day....

9)What is your worst habit?
This is SO gross but whenever I'm really stressed/anxious, I pick the skin around my nails...it's something I've always done and it's so annoying and awful.

10)What is your favourite place to shop?
At the moment, Misguided or Romwe.

11)What is your one thing to accomplish in 2015?
I want to get good AS grades that I'm genuinely happy with. That's the goal.

1)What was the first makeup product you ever bought?
2)If you could have dinner with one person in the whole world (dead or alive), who would it be?
3)What is your all-time favourite film? Why?
4)What is a piece of clothing that you will always go back to?
5)Are you a Disney fan? If yes, want is your favourite Disney moment ever?
6)If you made new years resolutions, have you stuck to them?
7)Would you change anything you did during your school life?
8)What is your favourite holiday destination?
9)Do you watch Youtube? If yes, who is your favourite Youtuber?
10)Why did you start your blog?
11)What is your favourite getting ready song?

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed this blog post and thank you again to Sam for nominating me..this has been so fun.

Have a lovely rest of the week.

The Statement Shoe

Unless you've been living under a rock, you will've noticed how popular over the knee shoes are and finally I have grabbed my hands on a pair. These suede, chunky OTK boots are from Public Desire for only £39.99 (10% off if you have student discount!).

Not only are they visibly pleasing, they are also so comfortable! I was worried about the ability to walk in them, however due to the platform at the front, it's almost like walking in flats (well, kind of). They also fit up the legs really nicely and don't sag once they come up near the knee.

How will I be wearing them? Well, any boots can pretty much be worn with everything however I've really been loving paring these with mini skirts and dresses without tights, so the slightest bit of thigh is showing. These will also look so cool with black skinnies or leather look trousers.

I hope you liked this little post.
Until next time have a lovely weekend!

It's An Eyebrow Thing

I recently picked up Soap and Glory's Archery brow tint and pencil and have been loving it. A lot of people have compared it with Anastasia Brow Wiz, but at the cheaper price of £10 it's quite the product.

I love having defined, sharp brows and I really feel like this product creates my perfect brow. The tint at the on end enables feather strokes to help fill in any sparse areas without looking too heavy. The pencil helps shape and define the natural brow shape.

Being a blonde, I decided to go with the colour Love is Blonde and it really is a perfect match. It's not too dark but it's also not too light which is something I really struggle with when trying to find the perfect colour brow product.

All in all I'm so impressed with this product, my eyebrows have never looked so good!

What's your favourite eyebrow product?
