My Favourite Apps

It's not exactly new news how embarrassingly addicted I am to my phone. Recently, I've been loving several apps that make my phone complete!

Below are a variety of different apps for different purposes that I am addicted to at the moment, I thought I'd share them with you because, well I love them so maybe you will too!

INSTAGRAM AND TWITTER
The standard social media apps. The first thing I'll do when I wake up and the last thing I do before sleeping is check my Instagram and Twitter account (links will be down below!). It's amazing how something so simple can instantly connect you with others around the world, whenever and wherever. I don't know what I'd do without Instagram or Twitter?!

PINTEREST
I am so addicted to this app at the moment, I love creating my own little boards and filling them with inspirational pictures and words. I have so many boards for so many different things from hair and beauty to places to go. I love going to pinterest to find a new recipe, outfit inspiration or a new makeup look.

TIMEHOP
This is a close second, after Instagram, favourite app. By connecting your social media accounts to this app, it tells you what you posted a year, 2, 3, 4 years ago. Although it is incredibly cringey, I love seeing what I was doing/feeling/thinking various years ago on a certain day. It's a nice way to look back on past event that you may have forgotten about.

AFTERLIGHT
My all-time favourite editing app. I use afterlight to edit my Instagram photos and it is amazing. With the huge variety of filters, it never fails to make a photo of mine look 10x better.

MYFITNESSPAL
Although I'm not exactly a fitness fanatic, I like to track what I eat everyday to make sure I'm not going too crazy with what I eat. This app is great for doing exactly that - it gives you a set amount of calories each day and by tracking what you eat, it allows you to take control of what you're eating.

SPOTIFY
My favourite music app. I don't thing anyone has ever not heard of spotify but I love it, it's so helpful to create playlists and listen to music free when out and about - makes boring journeys a lot less boring! Why wouldn't you want to listen to music free of charge for as long as you wish?!

BIG DAY
This app helps me look forward to various occasions and events. All you have to do is add a date for something you're looking forward to, like a birthday or a concert, and it counts it down until the big day! This is one of my favourite apps because it makes me so excited for so many different things and it also helps me organise things a lot quicker if need be!

What are you favourite apps?

May Favourites

I must say, the monochrome look was not intended at all, I've just been loving all things black and white it seems!

I have quite a lot of favourites to talk about in today's post, so lets get started.

1) BLACK FEDORA
I've been loving everything about this hat: the shape, the way it looks on, the size.  It looks so put together with any outfit and perfect for summer. Also, because it's not a big fedora hat, I don't have to worry about getting in other peoples way!

2) RIPPED JEANS
I have been loving ripped jeans at the moment, whatever colour, I love them. They can make an outfit look so interesting, a bit edgy and nice to wear around this time of the year as it's not warm enough to go bare legged, but it's still nice to have some 'leg skin' poking out! I diyed these so they weren't bought ripped, but because they're so easy to rip it's such a bargain as you don't have to go out and buy another pair of black jeans.

3) CAT-EYE SUNGLASSES
Words cannot even describe how much I adore these sunglasses. They're so classic and instantly make me feel 10x more confident, I've also been complemented quite a lot when wearing these so they were definitely worth the purchase. These ones are from Missguided!

4) BLACK SANDALS
What's a summer wardrobe without sandals?! I'm not usually a sandals person - they've never really gone with my 'style' and I feel like they make my small feet look even more small, however when I saw these on Missguided I fell in love with them. They're very simple, with an ankle strap and a little heel which is perfect and are very comfortable.

5) BLACK RUCKSACK
I got this black rucksack last year from Boohoo and didn't really like it at first. Luckily, I didn't send it back and for some reason, now I love it! It's such a perfect size to fit all the essentials in and stops me from overpacking! Although I would like the straps to be a little longer, I love the way it looks when I have it on - a perfect summer bag.

7) PHONE CASE
I got this phone case this month from Amazon as I was after a new one and it's so pretty! The photo doesn't really do it justice but it's glittery, pink, sparkly and moves around. Not something that I would normally go for, but I love the way the glitter and pink stars flow in the case with every moment.

6) BARRYM NAIL POLISH
I mentioned in my summer essentials that white nail polish is a must, and I love it! I have a love-hate relationship with white nail polish but in the summer months it's perfect. This one from BarryM doesn't chip easily and is the perfect consistency. I also found this plumpy top coat varnish which I was interested in - it claims to make nail polish look like gels and...it does completely this! Such an amazing top coat.

7) SEVENTEEN FOUNDATION
When it comes to foundation, I'm very lazy. I like to stick with one that I know works wonders, but when my Rimmel London Match Perfection ran out, I knew it was time for me to pick up a new one. I've had this foundation for ages and I'm so glad I purchased it. The brand Seventeen has never really interested me however this foundation has made me realise that not all good products have to be ridiculously priced. This foundation has full coverage, but feels incredibly lightweight. It has an SPF of 25 which is great for summer, and leaves my skin looking flawless!

8) SEVENTEEN EYELINER
I haven't worn eyeliner in ages, probably since January! I have such a love-hate relationship with it, but I thought I'd give it another go and buy this seventeen eyeliner. Like I said above, I have never purchased makeup from seventeen but because I wasn't keen on spending too much £££ on something that I may not use again, I wanted to go for something cheap. Well, not only is this eyeliner cheap but it also is so easy to apply due to the very tiny tip of the brush and the blackness remains for the whole day - no smudging or pealing. This eyeliner is definitely a new found love.

9) FLAT CONCEALER BRUSH
This little brush is so perfect - it's so small and flat which makes it handy for applying glittery eyeshadow or concealer in small places for extra care. I've been using this to help neaten up my eyebrows after I apply my eyebrow products. It's a very handy brush to have in the drawer and I'm very glad I found it!

See you soon.

Summer Essentials - Beauty Products

I'm back! Exams are over and the blogging begins again. It feels so good to finally sit down and write a blog post after what feels like years!

Anyway, today I thought I'd share with you my summer essentials. Summer is approaching very quickly, although the weather still thinks we're in autumn.

SPF Moisturiser
Two important things in summer: keeping your skin hydrated and safe from the sun, so, a good moisturiser with an SPF is perfect. This one is from Simple and I've been using this in the summer months for 2 years now. Simple has and always will be one of my favourite skin care products, all of their products feel so good on the skin and I see such great results. This moisturiser has an SPF of 15 which keeps my face safe from the sun when out and about on hot days.

Lip Balm
For me, this is an essential for all year round however I think it's such an important essential, for me, in the summer months. My lips dry out very quickly when it's hot, so having a little lip balm in your bag is super handy. This one is from Vaseline and I love it because not only does it feel hydrating on the lips, but it's also tinted, so, if I've forgotten to put lipstick on or my lips just look very dull, putting this one does 2 great things! Best of both worlds.

Pinky Nude Lipstick
A pinky nude lipstick is perfect for summer. Personally, I don't like to wear a lot of 'bold' makeup in the summer months purely because I like going for the minimal look, especially days where it's really hot; I feel like it's just all going to melt off! So, a pinky nude lipstick is a perfect colour to add to a minimal makeup look. This is an old favourite - Maxfactors English Rose.

Floral Fragrance
I'm a big fan of floral fragrances, but summer is the perfect time to get them all out. After getting this Gucci Flora perfume last October, I've been longing for summer so I could wear it and not feel odd about wearing a summery fragrance in winter! This is quite a strong scent, so if you're not a fan of that then I wouldn't recommend it but I do really love this one and will definitely be needing to buy a new bottle at the end of summer.

Highlighter
I love a dewy make up look in summer, but I prefer the 'natural' glow instead of the sweaty look (ew!) and this highlighter from MAC is perfect at giving a very subtle, summery glow. I won't go into too much detail about this product as I've raved about it numerous times on my blog! But if you're looking for a new summer highlight, I'd highly recommend this one.

Blusher
Along with a dewy look, I find that a very pretty pinky blush is perfect in the summer months. This one is from Benefit and although it is only a tester, I love it and will soon have to buy myself the big bottle (is that the right word?!). It adds a really pretty pop of colour onto the cheeks, without being too overpowering.

White Nail-polish
White nail polish is a must for me. Not only does it make your hands look that little bit more tanned, but it also just looks so classic and 'clean' (what an odd why to describe nail polish) but what I mean is whenever I wear white nail-polish I always feel more put together, I don't know why but I love it! I also like wearing very light pinks on my nails as well - nothing too bold for the summer months for me.
