Mothers Day

To celebrate Mother's Day, my family and I went out for a lovely meal over at a very traditional yet still modern called The Bull. The pub specialises in steak, however there is a nice selection of vegetarian options for someone like me! The whole atmosphere was so warm and cosy, not something you'd expect in spring, I can imagine it being even more lovely at Christmas.

I had some plain mozzarella garlic bread for starters, a lovely pea and asparagus risotto for main and a Creme Brûlée for pudding...and I must've been too excited to eat that as there isn't a picture to show you!

Normally, if I was going out for a pub meal I'd go quite casual and comfortable but because this was a special occasion I wanted to wear a few pieces that I purchased the other day from Misguided. I opted for these statement floral trousers; these are so appropriate for spring: pastel, floral and thin material but still warm enough. I decided to throw on a plain white turtle neck top. As the trousers were quite bold, I wanted to leave that as being the focus point so you can't really go wrong with a plain white crop top, plus I love turtle necks!

Even though it look very warm out, I had to wear a jacket over the top so I wore a white jacket from Zara with gem detailing on the colour and quarter length sleeves. I adore this jacket, it's so incredibly elegant and pretty; I'm so glad it's now spring so I can start wearing this more often!

(I would've taken more prettier outfit shots, however it was raining and quite frankly my mum and I didn't exactly want to be standing outside in the pouring rain!)

For shoes I decided to go for a pair white croc heeled sandals. I adore these shoes, they're so comfortable and the added silver detail at the top and bottom adds a very interesting detailing which complements the silver gems on the jacket. To match the croc pattern of the shoes, I went for a croc bag with gold chain detailing. This bag is amazing, enough said!

Whatever you did for Mother's Day, I hope you had a lovely sunday and spent it with loved ones.
